In the modern era, many young people are increasingly drawn towards westernization and distancing themselves from their religious roots, leading to significant issues such as depression. Seeking immediate gratification, they often disregard the principles and guidance of their faith, particularly the Sunna of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). This shift away from religious adherence has deprived them of the benefits Islam offers, such as patience (Sabar) and trust in Allah (Tawakul). The ease of access to a lavish lifestyle, often provided by their families, further exacerbates this detachment.

Parents play a crucial role in this dynamic. By providing their children with smartphones and unrestricted access to the internet, parents inadvertently expose them to immodesty and immoral behaviors. Unaware of the extent of their children’s activities, such as watching pornography or engaging excessively on social media, parents fail to guide them properly. This lack of supervision leads to a deviation from Islamic principles and an inclination towards Haram actions.

It is imperative for parents to understand these unethical and illegal practices and to guide their children towards the right path. Effective parental guidance involves teaching children the difference between right and wrong with care and compassion. Children must follow their parents’ lead to stay on the correct path.

Today’s youth often indulge in Haram relationships, forgetting the teachings of Islam. As Muslims, it is essential to avoid such behaviors and return to Allah, performing daily prayers, and reading and understanding the Qur’an. The bounties provided by Allah (SWT) should be used wisely and with gratitude, rather than leading to disobedience.

Allah (SWT) in Surah Infitar Ayah No. 6 says: “Oh, people! What has given you more courage to rebel against your Most Generous Lord?” This verse reminds us of the immense love Allah has for His servants. Despite the temporary nature of this world, many are misled by its allure. To truly succeed, we must turn from our sins and draw nearer to Allah, placing our trust in Him as emphasized in Surah Ahzab 33:3: “And place all your confidence in Allah, for He alone is adequate to act as a Trustee of Affairs.”

To strengthen one’s faith (Eman), it is crucial to engage in Tawba (repentance). The first step is acknowledging Allah as the one true God and confessing sins against Him. Allah’s love is unparalleled, and His forgiveness is boundless. As emphasized in public worship, we should strive to please Allah rather than people, ensuring success in this life and the hereafter.

Remembering Allah constantly, not just in times of need, is vital. Allah’s unconditional love and presence in our lives guide us to seek His help and stay close to Him. Life is transient, filled with distractions, but the eternal life hereafter is our ultimate home. Allah invites us to return to Him with promises of forgiveness and guidance.

In conclusion, today’s youth can find solace and purpose by trusting in Allah and adhering to Islamic principles. Despite the bounties bestowed upon us, we must stay on the right path, recognizing Allah’s magnificent design. Repentance and a swift return to Allah are essential for a fulfilling life, both in this world and the hereafter.
