Over 1 lac mourners participate in the procession.Srinagar Aug 14: In order to ensure smooth and peaceful conduct of 25th Muharram procession in Chainbal & Mirgund areas of Pattan and to take holistic veiw of the facilities being extended to people during the holy month of Muharram-ul-Haram, today DIG NKR Baramulla Vivek Gupta-IPS alongwith SSP Baramulla Amod Ashok Nagapure-IPS, SP Hqrs Baramulla Ms Divya D-IPS & SDPO Pattan Mohammad Nawaz-JKPS visited Mirgund Pattan where 25th Muharram procession took place, he supervised the Police Bandobast and joined the procession with mourners. Police also facilitated smooth conduct of processions with active involvement of civil administration, Army 29 RR & 2nd Bn SSB & Traffic Rural Kashmir. The processions were conducted under peaceful & secure environment and number of traffic diversions for hassle free movement of traffic across NH-44 were in place at Hamrey, Zangam, Hanjiwera & Narbal areas.Mean while DIG NKR Baramulla also offered refreshments among the mourners, which was organized by District Police Baramulla.
