There are times when virtually nothing happens in decades. As a result, people of that area continue to suffer from horrors of misery and suffering. But then there are days which change the course of history and circumstances towards betterment. Products of article 370 were horror and terror 5 August 2019 is a red letter day for Jammu and Kashmir. The day changed Jammu and Kashmir towards betterment and prosperity forever. For decades the dark period of article 370 had killed the freedom and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir. The dynasty politics parties had destroyed the peace and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir through ugly use of article 370. The products of article 370 were horror and terror. Our local political leaders were complicit in allowing Pakistan to wreak havoc on India.Gun culture destroyed generations in Kashmir. Our Valley lost the status of paradise on Earth.The Government of India under visionary leadership of Narendra Modi finally had the guts to abrogate article 370. Thereafter, an era of peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir has been ensured. Recently, in a welcome move, the Central government defended the abrogation of Article 370, saying the entire region of Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed an “unprecedented” era of peace, progress and prosperity. The government also said the street violence, orchestrated by terrorists and secessionist networks, has become “a thing of the past.” Terrorism-separatist agenda empowered by Article 370 In an affidavit that was taken up for hearing in the SC, the Centre said organized stone pelting incidents connected with terrorism-separatist agenda, which were as high as 1,767 in 2018 have come down to zero in 2023 till date, and casualty of security personnel has shown a 65.9 per cent decline in 2022 as compared to 2018. Many who initially opposed the abrogation of article 370 are now welcoming the move.Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and Democratic Progressive Azad Party president Ghulam Nabi Azad few time back said abrogation of Article 370 has ended terrorism and stone pelting from the erstwhile State. The benefits of the abrogation of Article 370 Article 370 abrogation has borne many fruits. India as a whole is now gathered. There is no distinct constitution for Indians and Kashmiris. Everyone will adhere to the motto “one nation, one constitution”.With the repeal of Article 370, all Kashmiris now have the right to an education. Kashmiris now have the right to know everything because the nation would be under one flag and one nation.The law now grants Kashmiris the right to receive a quality education from institutions located in the state. There is a 100% possibility that new educational institutions would open in the valley as a result of investors’ investments in Kashmir; this will educate children, particularly girls. Fantastic growth in tourist inflow After abrogation of Article 370, a record number of tourists have arrived in Jammu and Kashmir.As a matter of fact, Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed 1.27 crore tourist arrivals this year. The figure of tourist arrivals is expected to touch a record high by the end of the year. Notably, 1.27 crore tourists have visited Kashmir since January 2023. All sections of society are benefiting from abrogation of Article 370 Each and every sector of life is prospering after abrogation of article 370 . Women are getting their due, the tribal Population is also being taken care of. Record investment and jobs are pouring in.Women equal part of humanity were thrown under the bus by article 370.Women are the backbone of families and communities. They provide care, support, and nurturing to their families and are essential to the development of children. Women also play a significant role in community building and often take on leadership roles in community organizations.The revocation of Articles 370 and 35A have revolutionized this sad and negative state of affairs. Articles 370 and 35A were prejudicial to women’s rights and empowerment. They discriminated against women and were unfair in terms of gender equality. These articles established classes of citizens as A, B and C grade citizens; thereby rejecting equality and dispensation of justice.Now women of Jammu and Kashmir are equal citizens be it the all important property rights ,job aspirations, study and it has been made possible by abrogation of article 370.Now women of Jammu and Kashmir are equal citizens be it the all important property rights ,job aspirations, study and it has been made possible by abrogation of article 370 and 35A.Article 370 abrogation has ensured an end to all forms of oppression and is ensuring a brighter phase for Jammu and Kashmir.
