BuzzBytes PATTAN, March 11, 2024In a significant development for the region, Shaleen Kabra, Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the Jal Shakti Department, visited Pattan and inaugurated two crucial Water Supply Schemes, underscoring the government’s commitment to providing clean and accessible drinking water to every household.The ACS inaugurated the Tantraypora-Goom-Ahmadpora Water Supply Scheme, executed under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), with a cost of Rs. 9.55 crore. This scheme is set to benefit 9760 individuals across villages, including Ahmadpora, Goom Ahmadpora, Malbuchan, Tunjihera, Malmoh, Tantraypora, and Mahrajpora in Pattan Sub-Division. The project addresses a longstanding need for clean drinking water in the region, eliciting gratitude from the residents for the government’s prompt action.Additionally, Shaleen Kabra unveiled the Jeelpora-Bonichakal, Pattan Water Supply Scheme, constructed under the Jal Jeevan Mission, with a cost of Rs 5.54 crore. This initiative is expected to meet the drinking water requirements of more than 1317 households in neighboring villages, showcasing the government’s commitment to providing essential services to its citizens.The residents of Jeelpora and Bonichakal expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the successful completion of the project within the stipulated time, acknowledging the efforts of the Lieutenant Governor’s administration and the Jal Shakti Department.During his visit, Shaleen Kabra reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to ensuring tap water connections for every household, emphasizing the fundamental right of all citizens to access clean and accessible drinking water.
