Viqar Ahmed Giri, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Kulgam, led a comprehensive review meeting today to assess the winter preparedness measures in place. The meeting brought together officers from various departments to evaluate snow clearance machinery, stock levels, and action plans designed to ensure uninterrupted services during the winter season.
ADC Giri urged officers to be vigilant in addressing public grievances promptly and emphasized the need for seamless coordination in snow clearance operations. Ensuring the continuous provision of power, water supply, and essential services was highlighted as crucial to avoiding inconvenience for residents.
Representatives from the Mechanical Engineering Department provided updates on the action plan and the availability of snow clearance machinery. Municipal Committees’ representatives briefed the ADC on their preparations, including the readiness of machinery and human resources.
The meeting witnessed the participation of key stakeholders, including the Executive Engineer PMGSY, R&B Mechanical divisions Kulgam, and other department representatives, collectively working towards a well-coordinated and efficient winter response plan.
