Ajeet Bhagat Urges Swift Action on Kishtwar Power Crisis

BuzzBytes KISHTWAR, February 05, 2024: Expressing deep concern over the ongoing power crisis in Kishtwar District, National Conference Senior Leader Ajeet Bhagat has voiced distress, particularly highlighting the adverse impact on students.

Bhagat criticized the Power Development Department (PDD), stating that the department’s actions are causing distress among the people. He emphasized the need for immediate intervention by Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Secretary Atal Dalloo, urging the transfer of all officers from the electricity department in Kishtwar and the initiation of legal action.

The senior leader called upon the authorities, including Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha, Chief Secretary Atal Dalloo, and Chief Engineer PDD Jammu, to address the power crisis promptly, considering the sensitivity of the matter. Bhagat stressed that the situation is particularly critical during the winter months when lightning strikes, leading to electricity issues.

Highlighting the irony of Kishtwar, known for its electricity generation capabilities, facing such a crisis, Bhagat urged immediate action to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the people. He emphasized the urgency of addressing the situation to alleviate the difficulties faced by the residents, especially students, due to the power outage.
