New Delhi, Dec 14: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to introduce the Government of Union Territories (Amendment) Bill, 2023, and the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Second Amendment) Bill, 2023 in Rajya Sabha during Day 11 of the ongoing Winter Session. The former aims to reserve 33% of seats for women in the Puducherry Assembly, while the latter seeks a similar provision for Jammu and Kashmir, with both bills already passing in Lok Sabha earlier this week.

Additionally, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present The Appropriation (No.3) Bill, 2023, and The Appropriation (No.4) Bill, 2023, both of which have secured passage in Lok Sabha.

BJP MPs Rajendra Gehlot and Narayana Koragappa will table a report on measures for the welfare and representation of Other Backward Classes in All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Steel Authority of India Limited, and Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited.

In a significant development, Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi has submitted an adjournment motion in Lok Sabha to address the security breach in Parliament on Wednesday, demanding prompt action from the Union Home Minister.

Meanwhile, Congress MP Manish Tewari has raised concerns about eight Indian nationals imprisoned in Qatar since October 2022, accused of spying on a submarine program. Tewari seeks a discussion on the steps taken to bring them back to India.

The Winter Session, which commenced on December 4, is scheduled to conclude on December 22.
