General Upendra Dwivedi Stresses Technology-Driven Warfare, Modernization and Future Combat Readiness

UDHAMPUR, June 10: Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi on Wednesday reviewed the operational preparedness, combat readiness and modernization initiatives of the Army’s Northern Command, emphasizing the need to integrate emerging technologies and strengthen future battlefield capabilities.
During his visit to the Northern Command headquarters in Udhampur, the Army Chief interacted with senior officers through a hybrid format and received comprehensive briefings on operational preparedness, force modernization, capability enhancement and technological innovations being incorporated into military operations.
Officials apprised General Dwivedi of the Command’s preparedness across various operational scenarios, including the conduct of multi-domain operations, infrastructure development and measures aimed at maintaining integrated combat readiness.
Highlighting the rapidly evolving nature of modern warfare, the Army Chief stressed the importance of innovation, technological advancement and the adoption of emerging capabilities to meet contemporary and future security challenges.
