Beneficiaries Selected for PM Matsya Sampada Yojana in Kathua
Kathua, December 22, 2023:
The District Level Committee for Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) met to finalize the list of beneficiaries for financial assistance under the scheme. Chaired by Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Minhas, the meeting focused on crucial decisions regarding the selection of beneficiaries for boosting the fisheries sector in Kathua.
Out of the total allocation of 2 Auto Rickshaws (with Ice Box) for Kathua district, one was designated under the general category, while the other fell under the SC category. Applications were received for both categories, and a fair and transparent draw of lots was conducted to select beneficiaries in the general category.
Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Minhas engaged directly with the selected beneficiaries, encouraging them to capitalize on the opportunities provided by government schemes. He emphasized exploring other avenues for empowerment, such as the PM Vishvakarma scheme, for those not selected.
