Jammu, October 4: BJP J&K President Ravinder Raina strongly criticized opposition parties for their call to protest on October 10, alleging that they, united under the banner of ‘Gupkar Gatbandhan,’ are plotting against the development of Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a press conference in Jammu, BJP J&K President Ravinder Raina asserted that the opposition parties, under the umbrella of ‘Gupkar Gatbandhan’ (Alliance), have been conspiring against the Union Territory’s progress for a considerable time.
Raina criticized the opposition parties for announcing a protest in Jammu on October 10, describing it as a well-planned strategy to mislead the people of the Union Territory. He questioned their absence during the tumultuous period in J&K when it was grappling with turmoil, violence, and uncertainty. “Where were they when the entire J&K was going through hardship, bloodshed, and uncertainty? NC, PDP, and Congress are actually feeling stifled and have now begun to devise plans against the development of Jammu and Kashmir,” Raina asserted.
Raina further emphasized, “During the times of struggle, bloodshed, and hardship, why did NC, PDP, and Congress not organize such protests? Now, when J&K is progressing towards development and prosperity, these political groups have come up with a conspiracy to mislead the people through protests.”
Notably, J&K opposition parties, led by MP Dr. Farooq Abdullah, held a meeting in Jammu on Tuesday, during which they discussed the prevailing political situation in J&K. The meeting unanimously decided to organize a protest on October 10, alleging that the Government of India had suspended the Constitution in J&K and deprived its residents of their fundamental rights.
