NABARANGPUR (Odisha), Feb 22:* Defence Minister Rajnath Singh asserted on Thursday that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has successfully put an end to the “credibility crisis in politics” that was initiated by the Congress. Singh claimed that the BJP has gained the trust of the people by delivering on its promises.Addressing party workers from the Lok Sabha constituencies of Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, and Bolangir, Singh emphasized that the BJP has restored faith in politicians, a trust that had eroded due to the Congress’ failure to fulfill its commitments. He stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP has not only addressed the credibility crisis but has also fulfilled all its promises.Singh launched a sharp critique of the Congress, accusing the party of forgetting its commitments to the people after elections, leading to a loss of faith in politicians. He contrasted this with the BJP’s track record, asserting that the party has delivered on promises such as the abolition of Article 370, the end of Triple Talaq, and the construction of the Sri Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The Defence Minister underlined that the BJP engages in politics to serve the people and build the nation, not just to rule the country. Singh highlighted India’s rapid progress on the economic front, expressing confidence that the nation will become developed by 2047.Encouraging party workers, Singh urged them to dedicate 12 hours a day to the party to ensure the formation of the Modi Government at the Centre and the establishment of a double-engine Government in Odisha. He expressed optimism about forming the government in Odisha, emphasizing an emotional bond with the state and recalling the Bharat Surakshya Yatra initiated during Congress rule, which started from Odisha.
