Mohammad Altaf Dar Srinagar, Dec 03 : Prominent Socio,Political Activist And Sr Trade Union Leader Mohammad Altaf Dar demands better maintenance of manhole covers in the srinagar city roads including Including damaged Drainage cover near Javaid Automobiles at Sadarbal.The dangers posed to the public by broken or loose manhole covers and delays in getting them fixed.The trouble is that there is a lack of proper maintenance and the lack of a proper repair team to deal with these covers which are on public roads and footpaths. Some of the holes do pose a significant threat to public safety. Mohammad Altaf Dar also said people of srinagar and it’s extended areas are facing difficulties, as the civic body is not taking care of basic services in their localities.He demanded,”Dust Bins at suitable places, construction and repair of lanes drains, civil work inducing counting number residential houses and streets, maintenance of street lights and repair of main holes.”He said that the increasing population of stray dogs has turned and great threat to resident so it is the duty of Srinagar Municipal Corporation and J&K Lakes and Waterways Development Authority -LCMA to deal with situation seriously.
