Jammu Dec 15, Buzzbytes : The Crime Branch Jammu has filed a chargesheet against two women police personnel under relevant sections of the law in connection with a Rs 1.88 crore chit fund case. The investigation revealed that the accused also ventured into the business of electronic gadgets and furniture items at the Battalion headquarters, exploiting it for monetary gains to gain the trust of unsuspecting investors.

The comprehensive investigation collected material evidence, including documentary records from concerned sources, and recorded statements from complainants and witnesses. The charges filed under Sections 420, 404, and 120-B RPC at the Crime Branch, Jammu, establish the accused’s involvement in cheating and defrauding both complainants and fellow battalion employees of their hard-earned money.
A preliminary chargesheet has been presented against the accused individuals identified as W/SgCt. Nirmal Kour Saini and W/Sg.Ct.Arti Sharma. The investigation is ongoing, with further inquiries into the case FIR underway.”
