Rehabilitation Commissioner’s office in J&K is set to organize a series of awareness camps as part of Lieutenant Governor’s Special Saturday (SSS) campaign. The initiative aims to enroll eligible beneficiaries under various government schemes.The camps, conducted in collaboration with J&K Bank, will commence this week at four different migrant camps: Muthi, Nagrota, Jagti, and Purkhoo. Scheduled for February 13, 14, 16, and 17 respectively, the camps will operate from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm.Deputy Commissioner Jammu has issued instructions to ensure departmental stalls are installed, and sectoral officers are available during the camps. Line departments such as Handicrafts & Handloom, Industries and Commerce, Urban Development, Rural Development, Social Welfare, and Labour & Employment will actively participate, offering information and assistance on various government schemes, with a special focus on self-employment initiatives.Dr. Arvind Karwani, Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, encourages all eligible beneficiaries to actively participate in these camps, emphasizing the opportunity to avail the full benefits of the LG’s SSS campaign.
