BANDIPORA, NOVEMBER 18: Dr. Owais Ahmad, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Bandipora, led a comprehensive review of the progressing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) in Gurez Sub Division and evaluated the groundwork for extending the campaign across other Blocks and Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) within the district.
The meeting saw the presence of Mohammad Ashraf Hakak, ADDC Bandipora, ACP Bandipora, ACR Bandipora, JDP, Tehsildars, BDOs, and officials from various departments including Agriculture, Education, LDM, district administration, and Gurez sub-division.
Assessing the ongoing VBSY in Gurez, the DC examined its impact and progress. Reports indicated the Yatra’s enthusiastic presence in various panchayats of the sub-division, with Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Vans actively disseminating information about centrally sponsored schemes.
SDM Gurez conveyed the overwhelming response received from locals, highlighting the campaign’s role in educating people about welfare schemes and the procedures to access their benefits.
Dr. Owais expressed contentment with the ongoing efforts, affirming the district administration’s unwavering commitment to holistic development.
Furthermore, the DC scrutinized arrangements for the Yatra’s second phase across other blocks and ULBs. He urged authorities to ensure resource optimization, timely execution of planned activities, transparent communication, and seamless travel of the IEC Van across all Panchayats and ULB Wards.
Emphasizing the saturation of beneficiary-oriented schemes, Dr. Owais encouraged collaboration among executing agencies for the Yatra’s success. He directed strict adherence to the IEC Van’s finalized route plan in coordination with ARTO Bandipora.
The meeting delineated a concerted effort towards spreading awareness and maximizing the impact of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, aiming for comprehensive community engagement and developmental awareness across Bandipora district.
