BuzzBytes Kishtwar, December 22, 2023 – Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav, led a comprehensive meeting to review the implementation of Tribal Welfare initiatives. Key stakeholders, officers, Sarpanches, and Panches from Gram Panchayats with a dominant Schedule tribe population attended the meeting.
The meeting focused on finalizing the beneficiary list for the allocation of Biomass Cooking-stoves and Solar Home Lighting Systems under the Tribal Affairs Department’s survey conducted in collaboration with District Development Commissioners in 2021. Dr. Yadav emphasized the need for meticulous finalization of the beneficiary list and proactive engagement of ST PRIs for the smooth distribution of resources.
Discussions also addressed infrastructure development concerns in tribal Panchayats, including health, education, water, and power supply sectors.
