DC Kupwara Inspects Polling Stations Ahead of Lok Sabha Elections, Stresses on Assured Minimum Facilities

Raja Javiad Kupwara, March 11– Ms. Ayushi Sudan, the Deputy Commissioner of Kupwara and District Election Officer (DEO), conducted a visit to various election facilities, including Strong Rooms and Polling Stations, to assess security preparedness and other arrangements for the upcoming Lok Sabha Election 2024.Accompanied by SSP Kupwara, Shobhit Saxena, ADDC Kupwara, Gulzar Ahmad Bhat, ACR, Dy. DEO, XEN R&B, Tehsildar Kupwara, and other concerned officers, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the need for Assured Minimum Facilities in all polling stations. The aim is to ensure that voters face no inconvenience during the voting process. She directed officers to focus on proper arrangements such as ramps, sanitation, cleanliness, pathways, and signages around the polling stations.Additionally, Ms. Ayushi Sudan inspected the Strong Room in Kupwara, taking stock of the arrangements in place for the secure storage of election-related materials. The visit is part of the district’s preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections
