DPAP Chairman Ghulam Nabi Azad Addresses Public Gathering in Kulgam, Promises Free Electricity to Needy if Elected

Danishwar Hameed Kulgam, March 11– Chairman of the Democratic Party for a Prosperous Jammu and Kashmir (DPAP), Ghulam Nabi Azad, addressed a public gathering at Baihama in the Devsar belt of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district. During the gathering, Azad emphasized the principles of peace, unity, and development.Azad expressed his commitment to alleviating poverty and ensuring access to essential services for the people. He announced a significant promise, stating, “Despite my efforts, poverty still persists, and many struggle to afford electricity bills. Therefore, if entrusted with power, we will provide free electricity to those in need.”The DPAP Chief also highlighted his party’s strong opposition to land eviction orders, emphasizing, “We vehemently protested against such orders to ensure that no poor person would be adversely affected. Our priority is to safeguard the rights and welfare of the poor and needy.”Other prominent figures present at the event included GM Saroori (Vice Chairman), Ch Haroon Khatana (General Secretary), Salman Nizami (Chief Spokesperson), DPAP leader and former MLA Mohd Amin Bhat, and others.
