DC Listens to People at Kulgam, Takes Detailed Review of ATR of Grievances Raised in Previous Events

Tanveer Wani KULGAM, JANUARY 24: Under the ambitious weekly Block Diwas initiative, grievance redressal camps were conducted in three blocks of the district – Devsar, Kulgam, and D.H Pora, to assess public issues, grievances, and demands.The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan, presided over the grievance redressal camp at Kulgam to directly assess public grievances and demands. The program saw participation from residents of Matibug, Frisal, Redwani, Brazloo Bhan, Brazloo Jageer, Kharpora, and other areas.People brought forth their issues, grievances, and various developmental demands during the camp. Specific demands included de-silting of the canal in Matibugh, making OHT functional and widening Redwani Babapora road in Redwani, and the installation of a transformer in Gasren, among others.DC Athar Aamir Khan, after patiently listening to the public, addressed some immediate grievances on the spot. Emphasizing the program’s goal to obtain a firsthand appraisal of issues for timely redressal, he instructed officers to ensure that no grievance goes unheard, urging a pro-people approach.The camp, attended by ADC Viqar Ahmed Giri, JDP, ACR, ACD, ACP, GM, Exens, and other district officers and officials, demonstrated a commitment to effective grievance redressal and community engagement.
