DC Pulwama Inspects Strong Rooms and Polling Station Logistics for Tral and Pampore Segments

Shabnum Fayaz Pulwama, March 02: Dr. Basharat Qayoom (IAS), the Deputy Commissioner of Pulwama and the District Election Officer, conducted a thorough inspection of the strong rooms and dispatch and receipt centers for the Pampore and Tral assembly constituencies. The visit aimed to ensure meticulous coordination of traffic management arrangements for the upcoming elections.Accompanied by key officials, including SSP Awantipora, ADC Pulwama, ADC Awantipora, Deputy District Election Officer Pulwama, and other relevant authorities, Dr. Basharat oversaw the logistical preparations to facilitate a smooth and secure electoral process.The inspection emphasized the critical need for robust security measures at the strong rooms to protect election materials and maintain the integrity of the electoral process. Dr. Basharat stressed the importance of seamless coordination among various stakeholders to uphold the sanctity of the democratic exercise.In addition to overseeing strong rooms, the Deputy Commissioner assessed traffic management plans designed to streamline the movement of polling parties on Election Day. The collaborative efforts of the district administration, law enforcement agencies, and election officials aim to ensure efficient polling operations and minimize disruptions.Dr. Basharat expressed confidence in the administration’s preparedness to conduct free, fair, and transparent elections in the Pampore and Tral assembly segments. He reiterated the administration’s commitment to upholding democratic principles and creating a conducive environment for voter participation. The DEO further directed EROs and AEROs to intensify SVEEP activities across their respective jurisdictions.
