DIG Shridhar Patil Reviews Preparedness in Doda, Kishtwar, and Ramban Amid Inclement Weather

Mir Mudasir Ramban, March 02: In response to the ongoing inclement weather, including heavy rainfall and snowfall in the districts of Doda, Kishtwar, and Ramban, Shridhar Patil, IPS, DIG DKR Range, conducted a meeting with SSPs, Supervisory Officers, IC SDRF units, and IC PCRs of the range. The meeting focused on assessing preparedness and implementing necessary measures to tackle the challenging weather conditions.Highlighting the need for proactive measures, DIG Shridhar Patil urged all officers to maintain a state of readiness and personally intervene to address any emerging challenges. The officers were directed to coordinate closely with various stakeholders and departments, including PWD, Medical Department, Beacon, and NHAI, to ensure prompt and effective responses to potential disruptions caused by heavy rains and snowfall.During the meeting, the DIG emphasized the importance of maintaining and sharing emergency helpline numbers of all police officers. Control rooms were instructed to promptly share distressed calls with territorial officers for immediate response. Public announcements were also recommended to caution against movement towards vulnerable areas, ensuring the safety of the public.
