Mir Mudasar Ramban/Gool, December 16, 2023* — Dr. Shamshad Shan, Chairperson of the District Development Council (DDC) in Ramban, marked a significant step towards enhancing sports facilities and infrastructure in Sangaldan by inaugurating the construction of a Volleyball Synthetic Ground at Movalkote.
Addressing the gathered audience, Dr. Shan emphasized the importance of sports projects executed by the Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council to nurture the talents of local youth in various game disciplines. She highlighted that ongoing and upcoming sports initiatives aim to provide ample opportunities for the youth in the region.
In addition to sports infrastructure, Dr. Shan kicked off the construction for the up-gradation of the link road from Peer Morh to Fulsar via Eid Gah, a project managed by the Public Works Department, Ramban. She expressed optimism that the completion of this project would fulfill a longstanding demand, significantly improving the lives of the local residents.
Dr. Shamshad Shan directed PWD engineers to ensure both quality and timely completion of the construction work, emphasizing the positive impact it would have on the community. Furthermore, she urged the Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) to actively oversee the execution of developmental projects and monitor the implementation of youth and beneficiary-oriented schemes in their respective areas.
During the interaction with the public, Dr. Shan attentively listened to the developmental needs and concerns of the people, fostering a direct and responsive approach to address local issues.
