Ganderbal, February 01:The District Development Commissioner (DDC) of Ganderbal, Shyambir, presided over a pivotal meeting at the Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat to deliberate on the comprehensive action plan for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2024 (SANJY).The meeting began with a detailed review and discussion of action plans presented by various departments. Key focus areas included the enhancement of facilities such as health services, sanitation, flood protection measures, lighting, parking areas, mobile connectivity, transport services, contingency plans, and other related infrastructure to ensure a smooth and foolproof execution of SANJY-2024.Heads of all concerned departments provided updates on their preparations and progress on works related to the Yatra. The DDC stressed the importance of early execution of all development works to ensure the seamless conduct of Yatra 2024.Officers shared insights from the previous year’s arrangements for SANJY, providing valuable suggestions to improve essential services for the successful execution of the Yatra.Addressing mobile connectivity concerns, the DDC directed telecom companies to submit a plan well in advance, focusing on enhancing capacity at Base Camp Baltal and along the Yatra tract from Domail onwards.After thorough discussions, the DDC issued necessary instructions to all departments associated with the Yatra via the Baltal route. They were instructed to submit updated action plans prioritizing upgrades to enhance various essential services during the Yatra period.The meeting witnessed the presence of Additional District Development Commissioner, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani; ADC Gulzar Ahmad, CPO Irfan Giri, ACR, ACD, Executive Engineers from various wings, DFO Sindh Forest Division, and officers from other line departments.
