Srinagar, September 26 (BuzzBytes): In an official announcement today, the government has appointed Mr. Dheeraj Gupta (IAS) to assume the responsibilities of Chairman for the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE).
According to the government order, issued under the authority of Section 4 of the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination Act, 2002, Mr. Dheeraj Gupta, IAS (AGMUT:1993), currently serving as the Principal Secretary in the Department of Forest, Ecology, and Environment, will take on the role of Chairman for J&K BOPEE temporarily. This appointment will be in addition to his existing duties.
This interim arrangement comes into effect immediately, replacing Mr. Raj Kumar Goyal, IAS (AGMUT:1990), who currently serves as the Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) in the Home Department. Further orders regarding this appointment will be announced in due course.
