BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh announced a transformative initiative, the Viksit Bharat Sankalap Yatra, set to usher in a new era of welfare schemes for Jammu and Kashmir. Addressing a meeting of party office bearers, Chugh outlined the yatra’s objectives, including the distribution of Rs five lakh insurance cards for every citizen and the circulation of new forms for beneficiaries of various schemes launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Chugh spoke of a fresh wind of change in J&K, where the interests and needs of the common man are now being prioritized. He condemned the divisive politics of the past, attributing it to the Abdullahs, Muftis, and Congress, who he claimed neglected the common man and hindered development and progress in the region. Chugh highlighted the shift in youth priorities, now focusing on computers and tourism instead of stones and terrorism.

Strongly condemning recent incidents of terrorist violence in Kashmir, Chugh emphasized the cross-border sponsored nature of terrorism. He assured that security forces in J&K would defeat these nefarious designs. Chugh issued a warning to the Abdullahs and Muftis, cautioning against propagating anti-national sentiments and supporting Pakistan-sponsored subversive elements.

Chugh concluded by stating that Prime Minister Modi has charted a new course of progress and development for the people of J&K, symbolized by a new sunrise in the region.
