District Level Committee Approves 25 Cases for PM-FME Scheme in Kulgam

Danishwar Hameed 09/03/2024:In a meeting of the District Level Committee (DLC) on Pradhan Mantri Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME), chaired by Deputy Commissioner Athar Aamir Khan at the Mini-secretariat in Kulgam, 25 cases were approved for the establishment of Micro Food Processing Units under the PM-FME scheme.The meeting involved a detailed discussion on various products, their productivity, processing perspectives, and market viability. After thorough consideration, the committee granted approval for 25 cases, paving the way for the establishment of Micro Food Processing Units.The Chief Agriculture Officer, District Resource Person, and other officials were tasked with guiding eligible individuals to ensure the proper establishment of their units. The meeting, attended by officials such as ADDC Kulgam, Chief Planning Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Lead Bank Manager, and others, focused on facilitating the growth of micro food processing enterprises in the region.
