Basit lone Shopion 09 March:In a commendable initiative, the Indian Army’s 2 Rajput organized a free medical-cum-veterinary camp in Keller village, located in South Kashmir’s Shopian district. The primary objective of the camp was to extend medical assistance to the residents of remote areas, addressing their healthcare needs and promoting health awareness, with a specific focus on hygiene and sanitation.The medical-cum-veterinary camp was strategically planned to cater to the demands of the local population, which primarily consists of residents from Keller and nearby remote areas. Many in these regions face challenges in accessing healthcare facilities due to the long distances they have to travel.The dedicated team overseeing the camp included both Army and civilian doctors who provided medical assistance to the local residents and their livestock. Approximately 300 civilians, including children and women, along with a significant number of livestock, benefited from the medical services offered during the camp.This initiative reflects the Indian Army’s commitment to extending healthcare facilities to remote areas and addressing the comprehensive needs of the local population, encompassing both human and animal welfare. The camp not only provided essential medical aid but also played a crucial role in creating awareness about health practices and hygiene, contributing to the overall well-being of the community.
