“Don’t waste your energy on explanations. People only hear what they want to hear.”

— Paulo Coelho

This quote resonates well with the current scenario, especially considering the challenges we are about to face after the elections. While politicians and the public are engrossed in the election fervor, another major challenge looms ahead that needs immediate attention: the upcoming harsh winter and a potential energy crisis.

The unusually hot summer we’ve just experienced, coupled with the early snowfall in Gulmarg, signals that winter is arriving sooner than expected. This year, the winter might be colder than usual, and due to the lack of rainfall, we can expect disruptions in the electricity supply. This scarcity will not only impact daily life but also intensify the already harsh winter conditions.

There are two main areas that require our focus right now: government preparedness and public awareness. The government needs to immediately start exploring alternative energy sources and create contingency plans to ensure minimal disruption in power supply. At the same time, the public should start preparing for the winter now, so they aren’t caught off guard when the cold hits.

This is not the time to waste our energy on explanations, political slogans, or distractions. The issues of severe cold and electricity shortages cannot be ignored. Both the government and the public need to prepare in advance to face these challenges effectively.

If we work together, it’s possible to navigate these difficulties. Now is the time for balanced thinking and action to ensure we are ready to handle the harsh winter and the potential energy shortages ahead.

Both the government and the public must act now to ensure they are fully prepared for the coming winter.
