New Delhi, December 4: National Conference president Farooq Abdullah emphasized the need for justice to be delivered to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, expressing concern over the delay in conducting assembly elections in the Union Territory. Addressing reporters in Delhi, he questioned the reasons behind the prolonged absence of elections, stating, “It’s been six to seven years. What is the reason? We are also a part of India. We should also get justice.” Abdullah underscored the significance of Parliament as the temple of democracy, essential for public aspirations and the development of India.
