In a proactive step towards combating the rising issue of drug abuse among the youth, Ganderbal Police, under its Civic Action Program, organized a Drug Awareness Programme at Government Degree College Ganderbal. The event, aimed at addressing the dangers of drug abuse, focused on prevention strategies and appropriate responses in case of encountering drug-related situations. The seminar witnessed participation from doctors, scholars, professors, students, social activists, and other stakeholders.

Professor Dr. Fozia Fatima, Principal Degree College Ganderbal, welcomed the gathering with an impactful speech, highlighting the disastrous consequences of drug abuse. She urged students to stay away from the harmful effects of drugs. Dy.SP Hqr’s Ganderbal, Shri Gh Hassan-JKPS, and other distinguished personalities, including doctors, scholars, and professors, delivered engaging lectures, empowering students with essential knowledge to recognize symptoms of drug abuse and offering guidance on appropriate responses.
