BuzzBytes Srinagar, Dec 1: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has directed all treasury officers to ensure contributions towards the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund by gazetted and non-gazetted officials.
“Armed Forces Flag Day Fund is observed every year on the 7th of December. As per past practice, all Treasury Officers are directed to impress upon the DDOs operating upon their treasuries to ensure a donation to the Fund by all the employees,” reads a circular by the Principal Secretary to the Government, Finance Department.
The minimum donation rates are set at ₹200 for Gazetted Officers and ₹100 for Non-Gazetted officials, to be contributed from their salaries starting from December 2023.
“The amount of donation shall be remitted either through Cheque/Bank Draft in favor of Armed Forces Flag Day Fund or through NEFT in favor of Secretary, Rajya Sainik Board,” the circular states.
