Hajin 06 Feb 2024:In a proactive move to combat the pervasive issue of drug trafficking, the Hajin police have achieved a major breakthrough with the arrest of a female drug peddler in Hakabra village. The operation, led by SHO Police Station Hajin under the watchful supervision of DysP Hajin, resulted in the apprehension of Habla Begum, wife of Abdul Rashid Wagay, a resident of Hakabra.The police confiscated a substantial amount of contraband substance, identified as charas, from Habla Begum’s possession during the arrest. Following the arrest, she has been taken into custody at the police station for further legal proceedings.A case has been registered against Habla Begum under FIR No. 11/2023, encompassing relevant sections of the law, at Police Station Hajin. The investigation is now underway to delve deeper into the circumstances surrounding the drug peddling activities.This successful operation underscores the unwavering commitment of the Hajin police in eradicating the menace of drugs from the community and ensuring the safety and well-being of its residents.
