BuzzBytes New Delhi 16 December:

Imam-e-Haram from Mecca is set to lay the foundation stone for the Mohammed Bin Abdullah Masjid in Dhannipur village, Ayodhya district, Uttar Pradesh. The construction, overseen by the Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation Trust, aligns with the 2019 Supreme Court verdict on the Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi dispute.
In the aftermath of the verdict, the Supreme Court allocated 5 acres of land in Ayodhya to the Sunni Central Waqf Board, with the entire disputed 2.77 acres going to the Ram Lalla temple. The Mohammed Bin Abdullah mosque, situated 22 km from the original Babri Masjid site, aims to be the largest mosque in India.
Haji Arafat Shaikh, Chairman of the Masjid Muhammad bin Abdullah’s Development Committee, shared that the mosque is expected to house the world’s largest Quran, boasting dimensions of 21 feet in height and 36 feet in width. The project holds historical significance amid the backdrop of the 1992 demolition of the Babri Masjid, which continues to be a key political issue in India.
