In a commendable display of valor and dedication, the Indian Army’s four-legged comrade, Domino, and his handler Lance Naik Lucky Kumar were bestowed with an on-the-spot Northern Army Commendation Card. The accolade was presented by Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi in recognition of their pivotal role in tracking down a Pakistani terrorist during a recent encounter in Rajouri.
During the encounter, Domino’s exceptional olfactory skills played a crucial role in leading the troops to the terrorist’s hideout. The courageous canine, despite being injured in the exchange of gunfire, diligently followed the assailant’s blood trail in the Kalakote area. His unwavering determination and keen sense of smell proved instrumental in locating the terrorist and aiding the Indian Army in their mission.
