District Election Officer (DEO) Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, led a colossal Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) rally at Batote, resonating with thousands of young citizens and instilling awareness about the ongoing Special Summary Revision (SSR).
Addressing the enthusiastic gathering, DEO Chaudhary commended the proactive involvement of the youth, emphasizing their dedication to civic duty and active engagement in the electoral process.
Highlighting the pivotal role of students, especially girls, as ambassadors for voter registration awareness, DEO Chaudhary stressed the significance of ensuring no eligible voter is left unregistered during the ongoing SSR.
The rally, featuring hundreds of students from Government Degree College, Batote, Government Higher Secondary School, Batote, and Government Girls High School, Batote, alongside locals, traversed through Batote market, culminating at Sabzi Mandi, Batote.
The impressive turnout inspired the youth to register as voters, fostering a sense of responsibility to contribute to the nation-building process.
Participating students, holding placards and reciting slogans, demonstrated commendable awareness about the ongoing Special Summary Revision of the Photo Electoral Roll. They appealed to eligible voters to register before the December 9th deadline.
Adding artistic flair to the event, students presented Nukad Natik and delivered promotional speeches about the electoral process, receiving applause from the engaged audience.
Simultaneously, SVEEP activities unfolded at Government Higher Secondary School, Tethar, Zone Banihal. AERO Banihal Imtiaz Ahmad, Dedicated AERO Siddarth Dubey, and Principal A R Giri sensitized students about the ongoing SSR and the electoral process, with BLOs facilitating the distribution and collection of filled-in forms from eligible voters.
