J&K Bank Strengthens Local Access with New Branch in Mawar Area

Jammu and Kashmir Bank took a significant step towards enhancing community banking services by inaugurating a new branch in the Mawar area, situated on the outskirts of Tehsil Kalam Chakla.

The inauguration ceremony, led by Bank Zonal Head Imtiaz Ahmed and attended by Cluster Head Shadab Ahmed, drew a gathering of customers, residents, and bank officials, highlighting the community’s enthusiasm for increased accessibility to financial services.

Zonal Head Imtiaz Ahmed reiterated the bank’s commitment to fostering economic development in operational regions, stating, “This branch is established for the economic well-being of the people in Khambar and adjoining areas. With modern facilities, it will actively contribute to our customers’ financial wellness and educate the public about tailored banking services.”

In addressing the staff in Khambar, Ahmed emphasized the importance of excellence in customer service and urged them to play a role in educating residents about government employment programs and social security schemes for low-income groups.

The ceremony, attended by esteemed community leaders, including BDC Mawar Tahir Ahmed Mir, Principal HSS Qalamabad Kifayat Hussain, President of the Fruit Association Raja Akbar, Traders Association President Farooq Ahmed, Markizi Jamia Masjid Chairman Ab Gani Rashi, and Teachers Forum Zahoor Ahmad Shah, along with social activists Haji Ab Rehman, Khalil Mohammed Thokar, and Azim Hafeez Mir, acknowledged the tireless efforts of Manager Abdul Majeed in fulfilling this longstanding demand.
