This isn’t just excess — it’s a public humiliation orchestrated by the very force meant to protect citizens. The silence of the Director General of Police (DGP) is deafening. When such barbarity happens in broad daylight, it points to either complete collapse of command or sinister approval from the top.
This is not law — this is lawlessness under uniform. The DGP must be sacked, and those responsible suspended and tried. If this is what “normalcy” looks like in Jammu & Kashmir, then the DGP is presiding over a police state — not a democracy. Shame.
