JKTF/ J&K EJAC Holds Introductory Meeting with District Development Commissioner, Chief Education Officer Bandipora

Bandipora, 19/8/2024: The J&K Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) and the J&K Teachers Forum (JKTF) held an introductory and highly productive meeting with the District Development Commissioner Bandipora, Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Qadri (KAS), and the Chief Education Officer Bandipora, Mr. Kishore Kumar. The delegation, led by Mir Bashir Ahmad, the UT Chief Spokesperson of J&K Teachers Forum / J&K EJAC, extended a warm welcome to both Officers as they assumed their new roles.

In his remarks, Mir Bashir Ahmad expressed the forum’s commitment to offering full support to the district administration in delivering the best possible services to the public. He emphasized that the J&K Teachers Forum, under the leadership of Chairman and National Vice President of the All India Secondary Teachers Federation (AISTF), Mr. Mohammad Ameen Khan, and J&K EJAC President, Mr. Wajahat Hussain Durrani, acts as a crucial bridge between the government and its employees.

The delegation included prominent trade union leaders from Bandipora, such as Noor Mohammad Bhat, Nissar Anjum, General Secretary JKTF Dr. Asif Iqbal, Chief Coordinator Hilal Ahmad Quraishi, Vice District President Majid Majeed,District President womens wing Bandipora Tabassum Ara,Senior Executive Members Syed Nissar, G.A. Mir, Showkat Ahmad Lone, as well as zonal presidents and other key members. The team brought to light several pressing issues faced by the teaching community and broader educational sector in the region.

During the dialogue, key concerns such as the urgent need for improved infrastructure, timely disbursement of salaries, and effective policy implementation to enhance education quality were discussed in detail. Mir Bashir Ahmad underscored the critical role of teachers in shaping the future and emphasized the need for a collaborative approach between the administration and Teachers and other employees.
Chief Education Officer Kishore Kumar expressed satisfaction over the associations proactive role in safeguarding the rights and welfare of teachers. He assured the delegation that the issues raised would be taken seriously and addressed comprehensively after the upcoming elections. He highlighted the importance of ongoing cooperation between the education department and teachers’ forums in achieving positive outcomes.

Worthy District Development Commissioner Manzoor Ahmad Qadri(KAS) also acknowledged the significance of the issues discussed and assured the delegation of his administration’s full support in resolving them. He reiterated his commitment to improving the educational landscape in Bandipora and working closely with the teaching community.

The meeting was marked by mutual respect and a shared vision for enhancing the education system in the district. JKTF and EJAC remain steadfast in their dedication to collaborating with the district administration to ensure the needs of employees, especially teachers, are met. The forum continues to prioritize initiatives aimed at improving the overall quality of education in Bandipora.
