In a momentous gathering, the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) hosted its 89th Annual General Meeting and Extraordinary General Meeting at Hotel The Kaboo, Srinagar, on December 30, 2023.
President Javed Ahmad Tenga extended a hearty welcome to KCCI members, Organisational Heads, and distinguished guests. The President addressed key issues facing the Chamber, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to progress. Secretary General Faiz Bakshi then presented the comprehensive Annual Administration Report, encapsulating activities from February to December 2023.
An Extraordinary General Meeting was convened to align the Articles of Association with the Indian Companies Act, 2013. The unanimous adoption of amendments reflects the Chamber’s adaptability to changing times and technological advancements.
The event witnessed the esteemed presence of notable figures, including Mr. Baldev Prakash (Chairman J&K Bank), Mr. Athar Amir Khan (Commissioner SMC/CEO-SMC), and Mr. Mehmood Ahmad Shah (Director Handicrafts & Handloom).
Prominent trade representatives, such as Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad Chaya, Mr. Bashir A. Bhat, Mr. Mauzam Bakshi, Mr. Jaan Mohammad, Mr. Bashir Kanu, Mr. Ajaz Qureshi, Shahid Kamili, Mr. Nasir Shah, Mr. Shameem Shah, Mr. Anwar Mir, and Mr. Rauf Tramboo, enriched the gathering with their presence.
KCCI office bearers, including Senior Vice President Ashiq Hussain Shangloo, Junior Vice President Fayaz Ahmad Punjabi, Jt. Secretary General Umar Nazir Tibetbaqal, and Treasurer Zubair Mahajan, along with Executive Committee Members, added gravitas to the occasion.
