In a targeted attack on Sunday evening, unknown gunmen killed Habibullah, a recruiter associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), in Khyber district, as reported by ANN News.

This incident adds to a string of targeted killings, with more than 19 high-profile terrorists meeting a similar fate in Pakistan in recent months. The latest assassination follows the killing of Adnan Bayi, a close associate of LeT founder Hafiz Saeed, who was gunned down in Karachi weeks ago.

On the same day, reports emerged about the alleged hospitalization of India’s most-wanted fugitive, Dawood Ibrahim, due to poisoning by unknown assailants.

In response to the surge in targeted killings in Pakistan, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) stressed that individuals wanted by Indian authorities should be extradited to face the legal system in India. MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi stated, “Those wanted in India for criminal and terrorist activities should come to India and face our legal system. However, I cannot comment on developments in Pakistan.”
