Srinagar, May 24:
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday said that India places immense trust in its youth and believes the younger generation will lead the country to greater heights in the future.
The Lieutenant Governor made the remarks while addressing the Special National Integration Camp organised by the National Cadet Corps Directorate Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh in Srinagar.
Interacting with NCC cadets from different parts of the country, Sinha said the camp reflects the true spirit of India and provides young participants an opportunity not only to witness history but also to actively shape the future of the nation.
“India places its hope and confidence in its youth, trusting that the young generation will lead the nation to greater heights. NCC cadets must honour that trust by living the values of the NCC and spreading them across communities,” the Lieutenant Governor said.
Highlighting the importance of national unity, Sinha said India’s diversity has always remained its greatest strength.
“For centuries, our greatest strength has been our ability to transform diversity into unity and weave many cultures into one shared national spirit,” he said.
The Lieutenant Governor urged cadets to utilise the leadership qualities and lessons of unity learned during the camp to improve society and strengthen national harmony.
“The values of unity in diversity and leadership that you have learned here must be used to improve society. The seed of patriotism sown during this camp should be carried forward with full dedication among the youth in your respective states and cities,” he said.
Describing NCC youth as the “strength of India today and the builders of its tomorrow,” Sinha said the younger generation is inheriting a rapidly changing world but possesses the confidence and capability required to face future challenges.
“The youth of India are full of confidence and equipped with the skills to meet future challenges with courage and determination,” he said.
The Lieutenant Governor also praised the energy and creativity displayed by NCC cadets and called upon them to channelise that strength with a clear sense of purpose.
“I want this remarkable energy among NCC cadets to be directed towards a meaningful purpose so that you can stand firm against any challenge in the future,” he said.
Referring to the NCC motto “Unity and Discipline,” Sinha encouraged cadets to work for social harmony in their respective regions and contribute towards the vision of a developed India.
“Guided by the NCC motto of Unity and Discipline, the youth should foster unity in their states and regions, resolve social issues through dialogue and mutual respect, and help build the path towards Viksit Bharat,” he added.
The event also featured cultural performances by NCC cadets showcasing the rich diversity and traditions of different regions of the country.
Officials said the camp has brought together around 340 NCC cadets and officers from across India, promoting national integration, cultural exchange and leadership development among youth.
