BARAMULLA, OCTOBER 18: Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha graced the Passing Out Parade of Jammu and Kashmir Police’s recruit constables at STC Sheeri, Baramulla, with a solemn tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.The parade marked the successful completion of the 16th Basic Recruitment Training Course (BRTC) for 510 constables, who received a resounding endorsement from the Lt Governor to serve with the highest professionalism and dedication.
Paying homage to the gallant heroes of the J&K Police, LG Sinha expressed the nation’s gratitude for their unwavering spirit and sacrifices in the face of adversity. He applauded the J&K Police for their relentless efforts in combatting terrorism and upholding the Rule of Law in the Union Territory.
Emphasizing the critical role of the Rule of Law in fostering equitable socio-economic development and the empowerment of all sections of society, LG Sinha underscored the significance of a fear-free Jammu and Kashmir, achieved through a zero-tolerance policy against subversive elements and the strict enforcement of the rule of law.
In his address, LG Sinha emphasized the formidable challenge terrorism poses to humanity and reaffirmed the J&K Police’s unwavering commitment to eradicating it in all its forms to ensure peace, stability, and security.
LG Sinha pointed out that peace and harmony are the cornerstones of industrial investment, holistic development, and prosperity. They shape the future, promote inclusivity, and empower the aspirations of the youth.
The Lt Governor expressed confidence in the new recruits’ ability to carry forward the legacy of the courageous J&K Police Force and effectively counter the enemies of peace. He stressed the need for modern, accountable, and technologically adept policing to address contemporary security challenges.
In conclusion, LG Sinha called for collective efforts to safeguard the region’s civilizational heritage and build a strong and progressive Jammu and Kashmir.
The ceremony witnessed the felicitation of the passing out constables and the administration of an oath to perform their duties with integrity and sensitivity.
DGP Sh Dilbag Singh congratulated the constables for becoming integral members of the Jammu and Kashmir Police Force, while Principal STC Sheeri, Sh Mohammad Majid Malik, provided insights into the training program and its various activities.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Ms. Safina Baig, Chairperson District Development Council, Baramulla; Sh R.K Goyal, Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department; senior serving and retired police and army personnel, PRI representatives, and the family members of the passing out cadets.
