Kupwara, February 14, 2024: Commissioner Secretary of Science & Technology, Saurabh Bhagat, took the helm at a public darbar held at Town Hall Kupwara, emphasizing the pivotal role of such interactions in fostering growth and development in the region.Engaging with the participants, Bhagat addressed their concerns, sought feedback on government schemes’ implementation, and assured swift action on raised issues. Expressing the significance of public darbars, he stressed their role as a crucial link between the administration and the public, fostering accelerated development in the district.Assuring the public of a proactive approach to address their concerns, Commissioner Secretary Bhagat committed to taking up all demands with the relevant authorities for speedy redressal.During the session, Bhagat shed light on the rapid development and progress witnessed in Kupwara, expressing optimism that it will emerge as a top-performing district not only in the UT of J&K but in the entire country.Highlighting the role of e-governance, he noted that 1200 online government services contribute significantly to digital transformation, improving citizen engagement, accessibility, efficiency, and convenience. The implementation of LG’s Grievance cell was also emphasized, providing a platform for addressing complaints and concerns in a responsive and effective manner.The DDC Chairman of Kupwara, Irfan Sultan Panditpori, raised various issues during the darbar, seeking redressal. Deputy Commissioner Ms. Ayushi Sudan briefed the gathering on development initiatives in the district, assuring that public inputs would be integrated into actionable plans.The Commissioner Secretary also inspected stalls showcasing achievements and schemes by various departments and participated in a plantation drive, contributing to the beautification of the Town Hall Kupwara.E-inaugurations marked the occasion, including the Construction of Food store Kargam, the Construction of Community Hall at Kuligam A, and the Construction of a tile path at Bunpora Magam, showcasing the administration’s commitment to advancing development projects.
