Billawar, Kathua, February 06: Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha inaugurated the new office complex of Atomic North Private Limited at Durang Village, Billawar, Kathua today, marking a significant milestone in the expansion of IT services in rural Jammu and Kashmir.In his address, Lt Governor Sinha praised Atomic North for choosing rural J&K for expansion, stating that it reflects the government’s commitment to revitalizing the economy of villages. He emphasized the company’s role in creating job opportunities and fostering technological innovation in the region.Lt Governor Sinha urged the Atomic North management to focus on skill development and recruitment of local youth, emphasizing the importance of utilizing local talent to drive rural transformation. The first phase of the project will commence with a BPO operation, employing over 90% local youth, and subsequent phases will include the establishment of a Data Center, Network Operations Center, and Security Operations Center, providing employment to 1500 youth.The Lt Governor expressed confidence that Atomic North’s venture will prioritize customer service and bridge the physical distance in today’s globalized world. He anticipated that this initiative would inspire other IT companies to establish businesses in rural areas, creating technology hubs in J&K.Highlighting the State-of-the-Art facility’s advanced technology and innovative features, Lt Governor Sinha emphasized its potential to enhance the capacity building of young talent in Jammu and Kashmir. The initiative aligns with the administration’s vision to empower local communities and promote sustainable growth in the IT-enabled services sector.Sanjeev Sapolia, Managing Director, and Arun Prakash, CEO of Atomic North Private Limited, expressed their commitment to supporting economic growth in rural areas and thanked the UT Administration for their cooperation.Prominent officials, including Col. Mahan Singh (Retd), DDC Chairman Kathua; Anand Jain, ADGP Jammu; Vikramjit Singh, Commissioner Secretary, Industries & Commerce Department; Ramesh Kumar, Divisional Commissioner Jammu; Rakesh Minhas, Deputy Commissioner Kathua, were present at the inauguration ceremony, along with a large number of citizens and youth.
