Lt Governor Manoj Sinha Sets March 20 Deadline for Completion of Transit Accommodation at Zewan

BuzzBytes Srinagar, February 22:Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha conducted a comprehensive on-site inspection today, closely scrutinizing the ongoing construction work of transit accommodation for employees under the Prime Minister’s Package at Zewan. During the visit, the Lt Governor issued clear directives for the timely completion of the project.The Lt Governor directed officials to ensure the completion of 10 blocks, constituting 240 residential units, by March 20, 2024. This deadline aims at expediting the progress of the construction, ensuring the timely availability of transit accommodation for the designated employees.Emphasizing the importance of security and surveillance, Shri Manoj Sinha instructed officials to install CCTV cameras within the premises to enhance safety and monitoring capabilities. Simultaneously, he stressed the need to accelerate work on the approach road leading to the Transit Accommodation and the construction of the boundary wall.The project has achieved significant milestones, with over 70 percent of the target accomplished. Civil works on 26 blocks, which include 624 flats, have already been completed, showcasing substantial progress in the construction process.Dr. Mandeep Kumar Bhandari, Principal Secretary to the Lt Governor; Sh. Vidhi Kumar Birdi, IGP Kashmir; Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, and other senior officials accompanied Lt Governor Manoj Sinha during the inspection, highlighting the significance of the project for the region’s infrastructure development and the welfare of government employees.
