Jammu BuzzBytes Nov 23 – In a collaborative effort, security forces in the Akhnoor Sector successfully uncovered a substantial cache of arms and ammunition during a joint operation on Thursday. The operation, led by Jammu Police and the army in the Pallanwallah area along the Line of Control, resulted in the discovery of a suspicious box.

Upon examination, the security forces revealed a potentially lethal arsenal, including an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) fitted with batteries, a pistol, two pistol magazines, thirty-eight rounds of pistol ammunition, and nine grenades. The recovery of these weapons highlights the ongoing challenges faced by security personnel in the region.
Authorities promptly registered a case to initiate further investigations into the origin and intended use of the recovered weaponry. This incident underscores the significance of maintaining heightened vigilance along the Line of Control to thwart potential security threats.
