Major Breakthrough in Curative Survey Scam: One Arrested, Five Accused at Large.

SRINAGAR: In a significant development related to the Curative Survey Private Limited scam, six individuals from outside the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir have been identified as key suspects. As per reports, one accused has been apprehended by the Special Investigation Team (SIT), while efforts are underway to arrest the remaining five.

The scam came to light on December 19, 2023, when it was discovered that ‘Curative Survey Private Limited’ had deceived the public through a fraudulent website, luring them with false promises of high returns on investments. The subsequent fallout led to widespread chaos, protests, and distress among affected subscribers.

Following the revelation, a case was registered under relevant sections of the IT Act and IPC at the Cyber Police Station in the Kashmir Zone, Srinagar. A dedicated SIT was formed to probe the intricate web of deceit surrounding the bogus company.

The investigation unveiled that the company had established multiple offices across the Kashmir Valley and a regional office in Jammu earlier in 2023. After raiding and sealing these premises, incriminating evidence was seized and sent for forensic analysis. Statements from numerous employees and victims were recorded, shedding light on the extent and methodology of the scam.

Based on victim statements, digital evidence, and rigorous investigation, the SIT pinpointed six accused individuals operating from outside J&K. Notably, one suspect has been arrested in Tamil Nadu and is currently in police custody. Concurrent efforts are in motion to apprehend the remaining culprits.

Moreover, the financial ramifications of the scam are under assessment, with all associated company accounts being frozen. The potential involvement of local collaborators and social media influencers in promoting the fraudulent scheme is also under scrutiny.

With 27 complaints received so far, Cyber Police Station Kashmir Zone Srinagar urges the public to come forward with any relevant information or complaints concerning this fraudulent operations
