Shobhum Kotwal JAMMU, Mar 1: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta, asserted today that the Modi government’s empowerment-focused agenda is set to secure a landslide victory in the 2024 Lok Sabha Polls. Emphasizing the transformative impact of policies aimed at empowerment, Gupta highlighted the government’s unwavering commitment to uplifting marginalized sections and fostering inclusive development, anticipating broad electoral support.In a statement issued here, the senior BJP leader showcased the government’s achievements, including the provision of 10% reservation for Economically Weaker Sections, construction of 3.5 crore houses for the poor, sanitation facilities to 11.72 crore households, 9.6 crore gas connections, free treatment for over 60 crore individuals, and free rations for more than 80 crore people nationwide.Contrasting these accomplishments with the Congress party’s pre-2014 record of corruption, Gupta claimed that the BJP has set benchmarks by introducing welfare schemes and creating crucial infrastructure such as IITs, IIMs, and AIIMS in the past decade.Underlining the government’s commitment to poverty alleviation, Gupta asserted that the BJP has provided security and dignity to the poor, lifting 27% of citizens out of poverty. He further stated that, unlike the Congress party’s historical promises with the slogan “Garibi Hatao,” the BJP has actively worked towards eradicating poverty.Gupta expressed confidence that the people of the country have decided to support Prime Minister Modi, predicting that the BJP will secure over 400 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls and form the next government at the Centre.
