In a decisive and much-needed move, the Honourable Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, will flag off a 100-day intensive campaign under the Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyaan. The campaign will begin with a mega padyatra from Maulana Azad Stadium, reflecting a strong and urgent resolve to combat drug abuse across the Union Territory.
Jammu and Kashmir has been grappling with the growing menace of narcotics, particularly among its youth. The campaign delivers a clear message: zero tolerance for drug peddlers and complete protection for the innocent. With the firm stance—“Don’t touch innocents, don’t spare culprits”—the administration aims to strike at both supply and demand.
This 100-day drive stands out for its comprehensive approach. Beyond enforcement, it emphasizes awareness through padyatras, public outreach, and educational programmes, ensuring participation from students, volunteers, civil society, and institutions across regions—from Srinagar to Jammu and beyond.
As Jammu and Kashmir moves forward on the path of development, safeguarding its youth becomes essential. A drug-free society will strengthen families, communities, and the region’s future. The campaign is not just a government effort—it is a collective responsibility.
With sustained commitment, strict enforcement, and active public participation, this initiative has the potential to bring real change. The message is simple and urgent: act now, stay united, and build a Nasha-Mukt Jammu & Kashmir.
