Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) conducted a peaceful protest led by General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, demanding a time-bound judicial investigation into the civilian killings in Bafliaz Poonch.
The protest included key figures such as Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani Sogami, Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq, and other party leaders. However, police prevented protesters from leaving the party headquarters by closing both main gates.
Party functionaries unanimously passed a resolution condemning the killings of five Jawans and injury to two others in a Poonch attack. Another resolution denounced the subsequent killing of three civilians. Sagar emphasized the need for justice and urged authorities to establish a judicial committee promptly for a fair investigation.
